Festival Map

We have promoted and produced many Community Festivals to assist in lessening neighborhood tensions, thru presentations of entrepreneurial, educational, career and potential job opportunities. These events are hosted by the historic Zion Baptist Church, Inc. located on the corner of 22nd and Muhammad Ali Blvd and extends 4 short blocks to Chestnut Street, here in Louisville, KY. The festival is also spread across 4 additional off street parking lots flanking both sides of 22nd Street. There are always plenty of Vendor spaces available at great prices.

During several of our festivals, we had the American Red Cross Bloodmobile, Louisville Metro Police Helicopter, Mounted Horse Unit, a small go-cart size car, a Police Car donated by a Drug Dealer, the U.S. Army, LG&E and the Jefferson County Clerks Office conducting Voter Registration as exhibitors. Many attendees enjoyed the BBQ Ribs & Chicken, Hot Dogs, Chips, Drinks, Ice Cream, etc. We also had choirs, individual performers, and dance groups, financial planning presentations, food & clothing vendors, Inspirational Speakers, artists, other entrepreneurial booths, and Free Give-a-ways on each day of the events.

We've held Blood Drives & Sign-ups during the festivals as well. Help us to support the American Red Cross and the many other disasters where the Red Cross steps in to assist, by giving the gift of life thru blood donations. Tell your employees, family, friends and associates to go and sign-up for the Red Cross Blood Drive during their campaigns. We are always willing to assist in referrals for sign-ups for Blood Drives at Zion Baptist Church, Inc. 2200 W Muhammad Ali Blvd, Louisville, KY 40212. You can stop by the American Red Cross Headquarters at 510 E. Chestnut St., Louisville, KY 40202 to sign-up. We can also sign you up by sending in your individual pledge and/or your list of donors, for blood donations to us at PATCHWORK ENTERPRISES INC. 670 South 39th St., Louisville, KY 40211-3053.

God's Clothes

Through our GOD’s CLOTHES Consignment Store, we address the need for Low and No-Cost Clothing to the poor, distressed, underprivileged, jobless, homeless, and elderly. Our Consignment Store, GOD’S CLOTHES, is always in need of donations of new or clean gently used items, for those in our community less fortunate than we are. We provide these items for sale at a nominal fee as a means to instill and maintain a sense of self respect for those not willing to take a handout. We believe that this ability to purchase needed items, with limited yet honest means, within the reach of our community, will give the hand-up that is needed, versus a hand-out, that sometimes has no substance. During these trying times when just about everyone is touched by some sort of financial hardship, we all need to reach out to each other to support one another. If you or any of your family, friends and business associates are looking for a charity to drop off your new or gently used clothing to, please keep us in mind.

However, our store is not restricted by any means. All are welcome to come shop for bargains. There is nothing priced over $10 each, which includes New & Gently Used suits, evening wear, overcoats, etc. We accept Visa, MC, Discover, Diners Club, American Express and Debit Cards. “Come With A little, and Leave With A Lot”. GOD'S CLOTHES is presently located at 2124 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd in the "H. Donald Cockerham Center for Consignment and Food Distribution" in Louisville, KY. The Consignment Store is adjacent to the parking lot where the main stage is located, during the Festivals when we promote them.

Diva Dancers for Christ

We bring an appreciation for the arts in our community Dance Group, “Diva Dancers for Christ”. We've performed across the city. We not only teach dance, but life skills to our youth. We have a loving and caring cadre of volunteers that unselfishly give of their time and talents to mentor and teach these youths. We started off with six young ladies and have grown to twelve - fifteen strong. They are made up of young ladies from different schools, churches, and different faiths across the city. The age requirements are: be a minimum of 8 yrs old and a maximum of 18 yrs old. Presently this group is all female. Our Talent STARcase Contest, has given away $1100 in Scholarship money, to youth between the ages of 12 years old to 20 years old. We would like to make additional Scholarship Awards in the future, thereby reinforcing our commitment to promoting excellence in education as well. We hope to increase the amount of Scholarship giving as time goes on. We want to promote Excellence in all facets of life, for all the residents of our community, from youth to the Senior Citizen, but our primary emphasis right now is our Youth.
